The soil testing kits are based mainly on the findings of IARI. The tests can be carried out by just following the simple instructions given in the Hand book. The handbook gives useful information regarding major nutrients requirement of any soil. Each kit is a mini laboratory, ready to use and capable to perform the following tests: pH, Phosphorous, Potassium, Nitrogen (Nitrate and Ammonical) and Organic Carbon.

The Turf-Tec Infiltrometer is ideal for determining water infiltration rates easily right on the turfgrass area in a matter of minutes. Use it to determine how long to irrigate, when to aerify and also where diseases will become prevalent. Turfgrass areas can be monitored periodically to determine whether infiltration is staying constant or decreasing. This tool is the most useful instrument in determining soil health and overall grass performance. By using infiltration rates, you can determine the amount of pore space in the soil.


This instrument is used to determine the rate of infiltration of water into the soil. The rate of infiltration is determined as the amount of water per surface area and time unit that penetrates the soil. The rate can be calculated on the basis of the measuring results and he Law of Darcy. The complete instrument consists of two rings of different diameters (30-cm &45-cm), driving plate with hammer, and water level gauge. Data logger based Automatic Infiltrometer is also available..


These tubes are a companion tool for use with the 12 and 24 inch Infiltration Rings. The Mariotte tubes insure that a constant head pressure of water is delivered into the Infiltration rings. The Mariotte Tubes are constructed of durable heavy wall PVC tubing with solid brass and stainless steel hardware for many years of service.


The Acrylic Sieve Set has 5 clear acrylic cylinders, 2 inches in diameter with 4 stainless steel mesh sieves. The sieve analysis is 1.0 MM, .25 MM, .15 MM and .05 MM, with a cover and bottom, along with a frame calibrated into percentages. 2.0 & .50 MM mesh also included.

22. Plant Canopy Analyser (Ceptometer).

Measure Canopy PAR and Calculate LAI. The AccuPAR model LP-80 is a lightweight, portable, linear photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) sensor. It lets you measure canopy PAR interception and calculate leaf area index (LAI) at any location within a plant or forest canopy. The included external PAR sensor can be used to make simultaneous above- and below-canopy PAR measurements. Using both the external sensor and the AccuPAR together allows you to get accurate PAR and LAI data in clear, partly cloudy, or overcast sky conditions.

23. Leaf Porometer

The SC-1 Leaf Porometer makes accurate stomatal conductance measurements affordable and practical for everyday research. Steady state design means that it has no moving parts. The SC-1 leaf porometer leaves the environment alone, and instead determines stomatal conductance by measuring the actual vapor flux from the leaf through the stomates and out to the environment. Readings can be shown as either conductance or resistance and saved for downloading later (RS232 cable and download utility software included).

24. Suction Lysimeter.

The SSAT is a suction lysimeter that allows extraction of soil water samples from various depths for measurement of nitrate levels, salinity, EC, and other chemical elements. When used in conjunction with tissue analysis for calibration, nutrient management practices can be developed which allow the grower to adjust the rate and timing of fertilizer applications, resulting in increased production with decreased fertilizer costs and reduced nutrient leaching. SSAT's are available in standard lengths between 6" and 72" and include a single suction line, stopper, and finger clamp.

25. Drain Gauge Lysimeters.

Lysimeters are powerful tools that can help you better understand the water balance. The Drain Gauge G2 & G3 are low-cost options for measuring deep drainage. Used to determine the volume of water and chemicals draining from the vadose zone into groundwater.
